Logo for "PRODUCTS OF INFLUENCE" feature film - need your feedback!

Kind'a bland as it is now.

Is the movie more about the products, or the influence? Seriously.

I like the logo... but let's say it's a drug movie... I read the title to imply that the film focuses more on the drugs themselves then the people pulling the strings... meaning, the film would be staged more around the drugs and the events that unfold in their proximity.

Does that make any sense?

If you're looking for honest feedback... that's it.

If the influence is the motivating factor in the film... I'd have the word influence over the word product... with the word product being shattered under the word influence... that would imply there is strength that is pushing whatever your product is... and there's a breaking point (interesting event) to spark some audience curiosity.

Yes, thank you for the honest feedback. The film is about bullied teens who got fed up with their High School popularity contests, decide to kidnap head cheerleader, which leads to unexpected results.

I didn't want to put one word on top of the other as it would be difficult to read. Wanted something simple. It will be used on promo materials as well as a title card for the actual film.

I agree with Pookie. Nothing grabs my attention, until I study it intently.

And I am the worst person, since no one has ever liked my fonts on posters and logos.

I guess what I'm getting at... is what is the product and what is the influence?

I would style your fonts and layout accordingly.

If the movie is dark... then I think your logo is fine as is. (looks urban, spray painted, messy... if the film is any of that... it's probably fine)

MattinSTL: yes the film will be dark, not in an urban setting, but it is a psychological thriller, so. Also, I might try the inverted logo, with white lettering on black background.

Anyways, thanks all for your feedback - I got it!

I would have trouble reading it if I didn't know what it says. Like, if it was on a billboard it would be confusing.

Probably just giving a little separation would help.

Brian, gotcha. Will have to play with it some more. I tried initially separating the two lines, but it didnt feel as cohesive and "together" as when pushed together. Legibility is important. This will be on a poster with a website (with the same name) spelled out, so it may be ok.

Thank you for taking a look and offering your feedback. I really appreciate it.

I spoke with several specialists in 'logos' about ours, they said it needs to say what it is about, without any research or going further. The logo should give most of the info just by seeing it. Simple text is hard to convey that "image". Find a way to simply add graphics and keep to that minimalist feel.

Not trying to pimp our logo, but if you want a logo, those are the rules to abide by, as we did. Paid a pretty price for that advice, btw. I am sharing for free.
