Logic pro setup help

I am using logic pro. I have an Alesis Multimix USB 8 with a condenser mic. I want to record a track on logic pro and be able to hear what I am playing through a headphone jack in the back of the computer. The problem is when I set it up to record using the usb codec I can't hear what I am playing through my computer, only the mixer. I'm sure I am doing somthing wrong.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Quickly, in general Logic likes to use a single audio interface and stick with it. What you seem to be suggesting is using both at the same time; i.e., inputs on the Alesis and output on the built in soundcard. I'd try using SoundTrack Pro, which is sometimes more forgiving with these sorts of things (for me, it has handled multiple audio devices a bit more nicely than Logic), or find a way to hook into the outs on the Alesis.
