Logan - (I had to post this)

Not sure what I'm missing, but I've seen trailers that are a million times worse than this one.
Not saying I think it looks great - but I'm not sure why it's being held up for ridicule (not that we should be doing that with anything anyhow).

I know, I'm a buzzkill.

I can tell you this - it looks much better than the trailer to the feature I wrote, got funded, shot, edited, and distributed.
(which doesn't exist)
 
Looked the film up and it seems to be a pretty young director/crew. I say good on him for writing, directing, and editing a feature and getting it out there.

Sadly this trailer isn't doing the film any justice at all. Obviously I haven't seen the movie but it actually looks like there was some good footage to choose from. This is the kind of film where you really need to nail the trailer.

I think they had some good shots in there, but some looked very video-ish or amateur. I took a quick peek at their website, and there are BTS photos with them shooting on a Red One.

The trailer probably needs to be a little shorter and cut a bit faster. Not that it has to be some crazy jump cut epilepsy inducing action flick trailer, but sometimes less is more. The music was pretty cheesy, almost like the music you'd hear in some 80's B movie with ninjas and commandos and other low budget genre elements thrown together (not that those types of films aren't fun too). Again, for a drama like this, a more subdued style of music would seem to fit more IMO.

Good for them on shooting a feature and getting it out there. The fact that it got distributed and has a trailer on Apple's trailer site makes me wonder if maybe this trailer just isn't properly representing the final film.
 
It looks to me like they just didn't try when it came to the trailer. Which tends to be a mistake. I really hope it's making the film look worse than it is.

Yeah it kind of sticks out like a stinker. I mean good for him getting his stuff out there, but man does this look awful on a lot of levels, especially the acting and script..
 
Did anyone make out what the parents are saying in that first part? Also, that didn't grab my attention at all; definitely didn't make me want to go see it.
 
LOL perhaps I should've made my point in posting it more clear. It wasn't so much to laugh at the trailers quality, which obviously it lacks in places (but we all have our crap hidden away on our hard drives...don't deny it! :P), but more that yet again I see something added on Apple Trailers that I just don't expect to see there. When you see a poster for a movie like this next to another on Apple Trailers it makes me laugh.

Seriously all things aside I agree with much of what others said, the fact that this kid (who is actually 2 years older than me I think...according to IMDB) got his film on there makes him awesome in my book haha!
