Log & Capture Dropped Frames... deletes captured file?

I'm working on a fairly large SD project, so I've been importing tapes over the past few weeks. Occassionly, FCP will choke on something, give the dropped frames on log and capture error, and stop capturing.

My question is, does it delete the footage it's captured so far? The footage that WAS captured up until the dropped frames doesn't show up in FCP, or in my capture scratch folder (As far as i can tell...)

I ask because I don't want a bunch of 25GB files lying around, taking up space...

Depends how you have your capture preferences set up. And if that's happening a lot- your drives are too slow or too full.

I'm not worried about the actual errors... I just want to know if it keeps the file it's captured so far, and if so, where...
