Log and Transfer Problem

Hi, I'm trying to transfer AVCHD files using the LOG AND TRANSFER option as usual. But i don't know how the LOG AND TRANSFER option just dissapear. I mean, there is the option but it doesn't open. Sometimes its open and I can see the files but when I select the files to transfer the software closes. I tried some things but nothing that I tried works. I have a MAC PRO QUAD CORE and FINAL CUT PRO 6.4
Please help me people, I don't know what to do.
