Locked For Sale thread in the market place

Hey!

I haven't been to the forum in a long while, and was not sure where to post about this... so here it is in the cafe.

I posted a For Sale post for an Advantajib lite in the appropriate forum. One day later and the thread is locked. Seems to me it isn't a standard procedure to lock these threads: other For Sale posts have replies to them and are not locked.

Its a shame because I realized there was a bunch of information about the jib that I should have provided in the post, and wanted to go back and edit it. Can't do that now - nobody can respond to it, and I can't edit it? Not sure what purpose that serves.

Your thread contained an eBay link, which we allow to remain posted, but lock so that people don't come back and "bump" their threads saying things like, "hey, there's six hours left."

So it is standard procedure, as outlined in the marketplace guidelines thread, which is stickied at the top of that forum.

Ah - I hear you...
Pity I can't edit it though... don't want to bump it... just wanted to provide some more details! Probably a limitation of the BB software though - probably no way to edit without bumping...

I might post a new thread for it without a link to the auction so that people can respond to it normally.
