Dear All,
I am shopping an audio bag for my SD702D and 302 mixer. I mostly use boom and don't use much wireless.
I don't need a big bag, for I am doing documentary film.
Any suggestion, please?
Thanks.

I just had to get a bag for doc work - I went for the petrol eargonizer 2. Its big so you may want to go for the pegz1 instead of 2, but I like the space and wanted to be able to keep lots of extra stuff in there and I can this way. Well made and it seems from own searching around at least that a very large number of people are using the eargonizer 1.

I have both the petrol and Porta-brace AO-1.5 you can get by with the AO-1. I use both bags from time to time right now I'm using the Porta-brace. I think the Petrol bag is less expensive
Good luck

But do you feel Porta-brace is better?
Thanks.

since iam kind of" father "of th ergonizer it defenetly came to change my way of buing stupid portabrace desighn and put another monew in it modifications
eargonize build i the way you can manege stuff inside in almost any way you like or suitable for your job
for small rig like yours the eargonizer 1 is more then enouth , if you thingk go for large audio productions in the future ( near one ) , buy one of the other models
also harness is the real helper for long days jobs
by the way the ergonizer one comes in 2 vertion - cable outs near the body , that i prefer and cables out fur from the body that some prefer so :-)

Honestly I like them both. The Petrol rides a little low and I've tried to adjust my vera-flex harness as high as I can. So when I have a job that is a lot of run and gun I will use the Porta-brace. I'm looking at changing the petrol clips trying to get them closer to the bag so it will ride higher. The bag (petrol) rides on my hips and when I walk it moves back and forth way to much for my liking. It's kind of werid to explain but after a long day of walking it really bugs me. Right now I'm doing a lot of NCAA basketball stories for "Road to March Madness" so I'm leaving the porta-brace set up until after the season. But I love the tighness of the petrol bag especially if you're using both sound devices mixer and recorder. I can snugly fit the 442 and 744T and it works like a charm. It also is set up nice for using a Battery Dist. box set up with an NP-1 in the little back fold down pouch. I hope this rant has helped. I guess my answer would be- it's acording to your harness and torso size. But the Petrol is less expensive and your 302 and 702 would fit very secure. I think you might like the petrol.
You now know the only fault I find with it.
Good Luck

petrol harness sit perfectly for me .
b - the battery chamber was desoghn to take camera style batteries which are holding the rig closer to the body as weight more then np-1
