Living Messy

wow. wow. It just gets worse as you scroll down. I cant imagine actually living in that much trash. wow. I do feel a little better about all the dirty dishes in my kitchen now though :)

This is called 'hoarding' and it is a mental condition. It's the inability to throw anything away, a depression, inability to take care of one self, lack of loving self, etc. Oprah had a show on it once and that gal had dog poop everywhere.

I have a friend whose mother hoards newspapers so I took that idea and put it in my script. Her mother can't throw away receipts either. It's really a sad situation, but if the person has a child, you can call child services and get them out of there.

Thats feral. How someone could be so lazy is beyond me (EDIT - saw mental condition note above). I am more surprised by the fact she didnt manage to burn the place down.

My girlfriend hoards receipts like crazy, because she thinks someone is going to steal her identity or something. But her room is clean as ever.

My bedroom and office area are little messy, I have alot of clutter. But damn. That makes me feel like gagging. I though I was dirty LOL!

Just got back from visiting a friend at University and I met some of her friends...One of the guys dorm rooms looked like HELL....nothing like this, but he had shaving cream on the mirrors, puke in the front foyer that was 4 days old, covered up with a table top cause they didn't want to clean it...Dishes stacked high...Oh it was bad, and then he invited girls over the next day aha.

This was pretty bad though..

I had a friend who was renting a room from a guy who kept his house exactly like this. DISGUSTING. The place was decent when she first moved in but over time, in a matter of a year, it was a spitting image of these photos. Her room was spotless and was like a retreat. But the rest of the house was absolutely nauseating. I actually waited until he left one night to go pick himself up some take out food and I whipped out my camera and got some footage of it. Still have the tape somewhere but my GOD, people really do live like this. Its friggin' gross.

i can speak from experience of being really messy myself. basically i know it's bad, but i sort of mentally block it out of my mind and don't realize how horrible it is until i try to clean something. at that point the amount of crap is so overwhelming i feel like giving up on cleaning.

In a way it's a form of a mental illness. A person isn't able to throw things out and logically deal with getting rid of trash. In a nation of over 300 million people, chances are there are several people like this in every major city. Sadly, we don't have a good system of getting them the help they need....

Wow that just got worse and worse. I am actually physically disturbed right now. Thank you very much. I mean, I thought my desk was a mess. No more.

yeah that is f**king disturbing.... poor woman

jeezus

my bro and his roomy are college party dudes and they live in a party house/band practice jam room type place and it gets dirty with beer and pizza boxes and stuff and at one point I thought they were really messy but seeing this is just like.... shocking.... and sad.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but you do realize this is a deliberate mess! That is, placed on purpose to look like a mess.

Do you have proof of this? Who would stage this? And why?

Either way, the images are disturbing.
Either some person lived like that (and I know some people do) or some person made this mess deliberately.

Both are revolting.

You think that place looks dirty now? Imagine if the vice was REDMAN instead of cigarettes?

:-)

Domino's and Schlotski's... it can't be that bad... but in all seriousness... I think it's high time we brought back the good 'ole trapdoor.

"Now my place is spotless! Thank you Ronco Trapdoors!"

Well, maybe it's from experience. It seems absurdly obvious to me. Everything is too well placed.

I've lived in an untold number of shi* holes, blood everywhere,on the walls, in the toilet, piss and shi* all over. Needles everywhere, in the sink, in the toilet. Burn holes everywhere, waking up to put out a fire in a chair cause some girl dropped her smoke and fell asleep. I lift the cover and there are 40 burn holes under it.

So when I see this, it's fake. It's too organized to be a mess. If I could take a shot of my ex room mates place, a life long heroin attic, you would get a better idea.

I'm just saying, it's BS. I've lived it, I know it.
