Live Type and FCP

I'm playing around with Live Type, trying to create some snazzy looking graphics and I'm getting the hang of it, however.....

I added a texture background to the Live Type project, but when I import the LT file into FCP, the text shows up, but the background texture does not. I have to export to a QT movie from Live Type in order to get it into FCP, but then I can't tweak it w/o going through the whole process.

How can I get the whole file to show up in Final Cut? Does this make sense?

When you were working in LiveType, was the background above or below a thicker gray bar - and when you exported it, did you check 'render background'?

Got it! I dragged that grey bar below the background layer and now it's fine. Thanks!
