Not sure the best place to post this, so why not the cafe. Looking to learn about live streaming and possibly hire a freelancer to provide the service. Most likely local NYC. My company has been asked about doing Live Streaming for some upcoming press events. Probably very simple single camera stuff but curious about single vs multicam and what is needed. It needs to be done professionally and work, no "ooops, we lost the feed" and No ads. Shoot me an email if you can help me out by sharing your knowledge. I'm happy to share more details. This could possibly lead to ongoing work. But, too early to tell. Thanks!
 
I worked with a company just recently that does this. It's called Livestream. I don't know their rates, but the gig I did was HIGH profile. Reps from Facebook were there and everything.
 
From what I've seen so far it seems as though LiveStream and Ustream are the biggies. But, on the tech side at the event I want to learn exactly what is needed. We'll bring someone onboard to handle it when we get the dates booked. But for now I'm looking to learn as much as possible so that we can quote accurately to our client, hire the right person, have the right gear. I don't want to underbid it or have something not work at a live event.
