live streaming

[jimmiesner]

Out of curiosity, who does live streaming? And what software, services and hardware do you use? Trying to educate myself. Thanks.

it depends: you want it to be on the internet or television? for television it's more complicated.
but for the internet there are sites like http://new.livestream.com/broadcast-live/livestream-your-events. search google

I don't stream often, but when I do, I use Ustream.

Also using something like Adobe's Flash Media Live Encoder allows more control and monitoring than just the web-based interface. I'm sure all the streaming services offer this possibility, though I haven't checked.

Wirecast is used by a lot of people as a live switcher for streaming: http://www.telestream.net/wire-cast/overview.htm
