Live recording advice

I'm looking for advice on recording audio independently from a camera. Here is my situation:

3 camera setup shooting an indoors concert once a month.

I would like to have a recorder that burns directly from the house mixer to cd.

Another possibility would be a mixer/recorder combo. I would only need a minimal amount of channels as I would still be getting a feed from the house mixer, but in this case, I would be able to mix the feed independently from the house mixer.

Another plus would be a recorder or mixer/recorder with a TimeCode generator that could read from the master shot only a few feet away.

Depending on how much that would cost, I could always slate right before they begin their set.

For those who have produced this type of show, what are your methods of recording the cleanest audio?

What are your reccomendations on equipment, I should look into?

Thank you.

the problem that the house mix is reelevant to the house acoustic , it may be sound terrible for recording , also check if all the sources are taken ( sometimes if it small place there is no mics on drums, horns and sax )
bettrer is recording all the channels which come to consol + all the rest that doesnt , + few mics on the audience to get the croud in between
check with the band or the house before you shooting the real mic setup and eq then deside what you need as aditional

Everything is mic'd. I just do not want to rely on the house's audio mixer to make sure my audio will sound good. You would think that they would make it sound the best because this is going on television, but they dont.

I'm just looking for the best way to record the audio independently from the camera and be able to monitor it with my own mixer.

Thanks

ok you will need to go with prefader outs from the house mixer to external recorder , add few mics for the audience and maybe another stereo pair for all around , then remix it in a studio .
very symple .check what mixer the do use and get snake which could be used with direct consol outs , the recording can go to external hard disk recorder , the number of tracks yiou need is depends on the number of mics they use and aditional you bring
