Just need a bit of advice really.

I do some Live Production mainly around June time which is mixed live to an audience.

A question is because of different mix k temps and lighting, what would be the perfect white balance and would i achieve this?

Do may people use Auto because of different exposures? Like atw an obv turn off agc.

Just wanted all cams calibrated and perfect exposure.

For theatrical stage lighting, your baseline color temperature is going to be 3200K. You're providing a white reference point. If fixtures are gelled, they are only going to render properly if the camera is baselined to a fixed color temp. If it is a daytime, outdoor venue with stage lighting, you should balance to 5600K.

Thanks, great i got mixture of Gels so 3200k best.

I never shoot on auto, is it wise for a live production. obv, TURN OFF agc ETC.

because sometimes i get overexposure when i have done auto before .

We've talked about the very wide dynamic range on today's stages - you need more than 12 stops to cover it properly.

Some cameras allow for AGC limiters. If you can, set it to 3 or 6db max, works well for live outdoor and sporting events.

Filming Tips Needed On Shooting A "View" Type TV Show

Hello

I have dabbled with my DVX100b camera for a few months now and was recently approached by someone to film an internet TV series similar to the popular talk show "The View."

The show will be unscripted and live and there will be a total of six members debating all at once. I only have the one camera, so doing close ups will be very tricky if not impossible.

The subject matter of this show is pretty serious and I would like to do as good of a job for these people that I can. Any suggestions, general rules, etc. Would be very greatly appreciated.
