Live Music Questions

I am researching the DVX100B that I am about to get and was wondering if this is the best camera for what I want to do and 60i vs. 24p in this situation.

Goal - Live Music. Only stage lighting. This includes from small club settings all the way up to festivals and arenas.

Would the DVX be the best choice? I'm ultimately weighing the DVX100B vs. Sony HDR-FX1.

I've searched through and read some of the low-light threads on here, but they don't quite have the info I am looking for (live music as main function, with weddings/documentaries/etc being secondary function).

Any insight to this would be great. Thanks in advance.

Something you should know about shooting live music with the DVX - it really does not like red light, which tends to be used a lot in live music venues. The image you get is blocky, with a lot of bleed (don't know if that is a clear description. If I get a chance, I post an example).

There are some discussions on here about this very issue, as well as some pre and post adjustments you might try.
