Live Multicam Shooting and Setup

Hello,

I have been asked to shoot an upcoming event (next couple of months) and they have asked for me to do a multi cam shoot. What they want is the entire even covered in full from multiple angles. I am a solo shooter, so they told me that stationary cameras would work fine, while I walked around and shot. I have a 60D which is what I would walk around with. I need advise on what cameras, batteries, memory card space, tele/wide lenses, 'weather resisting", and mounting. I would like to keep it as cheap as possible (i.e. using consumer cameras as opposed to C300s). The event will last for pretty much half a day, from about 4:00pm until 10:00-10:30pm. I would like to record the whole time if possible. I would like to have 4 or 5 cameras on certain hot spots/ high traffic areas. I will sync it all up with Premiere's Multicam.

Sound is not a must, but if you have any ideas on that, feel free to add it in!

Thanks

Save your self some serious grief and at least use X identical cameras...all Timecode capable.

I would use RT, time-code and I would synch all the cameras to it so they match or are at least close (offset)

Now you have to work out how to manage 6+ hour record sessions times the number of cameras.

Hard to comment on audio because you did not say what type of event it is.

BTW - your event is not actually "Live". That at least makes it less complex.
