Live event mixing, general and audio questions ATEM Television Studio

I'm going to be doing my first live event multi camera mixing in October with a couple of EX3s and the new Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio. I wanted to see if anyone with experience can tell me if there is something I'm missing or leaving out in my planing.

The event is a live webcast and recording for DVD and Bluray distribution. My plan is to have the house sound run to both of my ex3s via xlr and then send the video and sound together via hdsdi to my mixing table, then from there send my live cuts to the encoder via one sdi output and record via kipro on the other. The only people I'm planning on hiring are the 2 camera operators and the encodist, with myself doing the mixing and recording. Is this enough? Will there be audio sync issues if the sound is routed the way I mentioned? If so, what would be the solution?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Not familair with the system, but it sounds about right. Have you considered a third camera (stationary), so you have a front & center mid/long shot to cut to if necessary? Wouldn't necessarily need a third operator, just a good position and a tripod...

I'd love to do a third camera, but I'm already over budget with my current setup, so I don't think it's an option.

The ATEM Television Studio will not carry over the analog audio you are embedding in your cameras SDI feeds. You'll need to feed the ATEM AES/EBU audio input separately or feed audio to the Kipro directly. Note that if you choose the latest, you will most likely introduced quite a bit of A/V delay. A/V delay should be minimal if you feed audio to the ATEM directly.

Best,

I tested the ATEM TV Studio on en event. I had 3 SDI cam, not genlocked. Sound was recorder by mics, then converted in AES/EBU and fed to the ATEM.
I was very disappointed to see, as the video had a 1 frame delay due to the non-genlocked signal, that the sound was out of sync (about 1 frame early).
I thought the video delay should be included by the ATEM in the AES/EBU input, but it isn't...
