Live Capture problem

Hi All,

I have just bought Edius Broadcast after downloading the demo and loving it.

I just cant seem to get live capture going.

"Camera settings: Other Functions - 1394 Control = Ext"
YES

"Connect the camera to the PC via Firewire"
YES

"On the LCD you should see 1394 and below for example HD 1080i."

I see 1396 but no recording format information. In edius the player screen says "Generic HDV - input" but there is no picture.

I have matched all project modes with shooting modes, still no picture and the capture tab is grayed out.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

What camera do you have? If it's an HVX200, don't use HDV, that's not what the camera puts out. Use the Generic OHCI option and select settings appropriate for your project. Also make sure you don't have the camera in a PN mode.
