Live 5

Hi, I am learning to use Ableton Live 5 now... I did some tunes and want to render it out to disk which is a WAV file. It rendered out fine, just that the sound is very poo poo.... like a 6bit 6hz sound-hearable but almost no sound and terrible sound. When it's play inside the Live 5 is of course sounds like pristine loud computer generated sound. But after rendered out into WAV file sounds very crappy. Anyone know this problem? thx

We've been using Live to make commercial jingle backdrop for about 18 months now. Great program.

go to preferences audio tab and then take a look at what driver you are using. Is it MME or ASIO? Check further down in the window as the samples setting, is it set to 48kHz? Now that you have that stuff setup. Go to the 'render to disk' for you jingle. In the dialog box that shows up make sure to select wav out 48kHz 16 bit. Everything else should be OFF.

Hi, did what you said, but it's the same thing; the sound came out very faint. I am using the firewire 410.

Had you ever been able to get a proper render to disk? Has it always been the same result? or is it just with this project. Try and open up the tutorial audio project and render it. Is it faint as well?

I think it's ok now.... I went into the control panel and turn up the volume, also turn up the master volume in live5. thx for the reply though
