Little bit of a problem

I shot my first day of my first short. I worked hard on trying to make sure there were no logos in my footage. I missed something. In the background of one of my OTS shots is a phonebook and its logo. I'm not real familiar with what all vegas can do. Can it doctor images? Do I need to purchase Adobe After Effects? I've been thinking about purchasing AE anyways. I'm not sure what the best approach is here. Also, just fyi doing a reshoot will be difficult at best due to the availability of one of the actors. That's why I'm trying to figure out how I can fix the problem in editing. Any ideas?

Don't worry about it.

Unless you're being financed by Qwest, and it's a Verizon phone book.

You could use the Blur effect to obscure it enough, if you really wanted to, though.

That's good to know about logos.

Also, I just read a post about clips being able to be exported as individual pictures, doctored in photoshop, and then imported back into Vegas. I don't have photoshop, but I do have paintshop. Would this work?

Not ALL logos, though. If it's a straight Trade Mark, you're pretty much safe. If it's a copyrighted design being used....legally you're liable, if they want to be doodooheads about it.

But for stuff like the phonebook? Pfft.

Sure. I use PaintShop, rather than PhotoShop. Not a problem.

Be sure to export the frames a PNG, not JPG. No quality loss that way.
