I'm looking into finally getting an "on camera" light. I'm currently looking at the Litepanels Micro and the Lowell iLight. Any thoughts on the pro's and con's of each? If you were in my position, which would you choose? Thanks!
For durability, I would choose the Lowell I light. I haven't fully checked the spec's on the differences of output of light between the two lights, but I'm almost positive that the Lowel would kick out more lumens.
The Litepanels Micro is probably lighter in weight ? and easier and cheaper to power up.
The added expense of power options for the Lowel,( maybe just a D-Tap cord) but D-Tap'd to what ? Depends on your camera configuration, and power requirements.
A battery belt would certainly give you a few HOURS of juice for your light, but belts are expensive.
Some people here have said the Micro is built ...rather simply, and may break in short order if not handled gingerly... Pro's of this light, quick battery changes with batteries you can buy ANYWHERE..
Buyer beware. Good luck
