Does anyone already tried the litepanels LUMA on-cam LED ? For what kind of shots (from your own experience) it will fulfill its aim? What about the sola eng 3 ?

Seems like the LUMA is not very popular under professionals ! Is it just a con/prosumer light or just suitable for photography ?
I lean towards the LUMA in stead of the better sola eng 3 because it runs on batteries and the sola eng looks like it is not yet completely developed out (attachment of gells is so .......).

From just looking at it... Id only ever use something like that when on the fly without a steady base to fall back to. I really don't care if it was Litepanels who made it. On-camera LED is not very flattering light however you spin it.
If you do buy it, put some diffuser over it to soften it or risk having talents with squinting eyes...
