I posted this on my other "purchase"thread, but just in case someone missed this, since this happened to me, I would just like to warn you all about this issue.
Check your Mac g5's internals and look for leaks! Its a ticking timebomb, I tell ya!
It seems like it affects early model Liquid cooled g5's which have a China brand liquid cooling system. Later models seem less affected- this, however, is not confirmed.
Bottom line? 1200 USD for me here in Macau for both motherboard and CPU's. I have, however, called apple costumer support and gave them my reasoning and my personal e-mail. Awaiting some sort of reply.
Anyway, beware!
