Alright I have not left my computer alone for more than a couple of hours in the past four days and I am losing it. Why can I not get any of my clips linked. I believe I have gone mad. Yes that must be it. It has to be. Help a sad fellow will you.

I am trying to remember how to UNLINK my audio from the video clip!! I should have just captured the video as video only but I went ahead and brought in the audio in case I would need it. Now I don't need it and I have to manually select the audio I don't need and CUT it out.

You can unlink each clip, you can lock the audio tracks to where they would be going, or you could do a split control in your timeline and just choose video in. Any of those might make your life easier.

Three hours sleep in three days. Hope this makes sense.

If it's in a sequence click the Unlink button in the upper right of the timeline or hit cntrl-L(?) to toggle it.
Select the audio in the sequence and hit delete.
FCP Help can give easy answers and shotcuts.
