I am currently working on a work flow for my assitant editors to sync audio to video for a 35mm film I will be editing...conforming the negative is not important...we will offline edit in DVCAM and online back to D5...a dual sync transfer has been done to these preceeding formats...in order to save money the post house I am working for is having us syncing the audio... the audio is digital and will not need to be recaptured...however when I sync audio to clap in FCP 5 than create a sub clip the for patch export to Quicktime movie, the TC for both seems to remain...this is not the case in FCP 4.5, is this a glitch? ...it is happening to me on both my Dual G5 2.3 and my Powerbook 857 G4 Ti...the production house does not have FCP 4.5 as they just bought a new FCP 5 kona 2 system...
Anyone esle having this issue...please confirm...any ideas if it can be worked around or will we need to step back to FCP 4.5 to do this
