Linear Polarizer choices? What do u recommend?

Hi crew!

I'd like to put in an order for my first Linear Polarizer but don't know what the top few recommendations (within a budget reason) would be for the DVX100A.

I need to find out the following:
- What brand should I get?
- How much they usually cost?
- Where can I buy it from?

no. what are you buying a screw in or 4x4..? either way it should cost you over 100.00 to get a decent multi-coated one.

Just got back from buying a B&W linear polarizer.

Schneider makes some mighty impressive claims for their Linear Tru-Pol (http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/filters/polarizers/index.htm)

They say it's 12x more effective than other polarizers!

I just ordered one from Rush at EVS...

Coffee- The best money can buy. B+W/Schneider, one and the same. In a nutshell:
B+W are manufactured in diameter sizes (52mm, 72mm) with brass rings and made in Germany.
Schneider are manufactured in motion picture sizes (4x4, 4x5.65) and are made in New York.
Same materials, different brands. All top shelf, you bought the best! Cheers!

Barry- That's what I have. The extinction ratio is quite good. It completely cancels out my LCD's!
