I'm trying to figure out how this was lit around 2:55-2:57 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_7EKr5a82k I see that there is a backlight coming from what looks like the back right but there is also a shadow underneath her arm and in his ear suggesting a ummm... i guess you can call it top light from the position they are in lol. Can someone help me with this?

You are right about the position of the rim light, very far to the right. As for the key, looks like a large soft directional source above and to the left of the camera. Probably like a 20 degree eggcrate on a softbox, looks really directional. As for power, I would guess 1K on the softbox and maybe a 650 for rim, or at least something to that ratio.

I laughed when I saw the title of your message because my brain first parsed it as, "(Lighting people), laying down in bed." As in, what the crew does after a long day on the set. :-)

:) I just thought it was a more comfy way for the electric department to lay down on the job.
