Hi, guys, I haven't been on the board for awhile as I went back to my daily job of shooting news after a stint of documentary work.
Well I have an overseas assignment coming that will last a couple of years and am asking for some advice about making a very very portable light kit that would be ideal for interviews, with a little location lighting as well.
The key to this kit would be portability, speed in setup and build quality.
I submitted a request to my boss for
1 Dedolight Felloni high output 30* Bicolor
1 Dedolight Felloni normal output 30* Bicolor
ENG SOLA on camera Fresnel with accesory to mount to light stand
55 rifa kit (i still like the look of incandescent bulbs a bit better)
+ I can scrounge up an omni with a speedring and attach another XS Chimera which will give a similar look.
Stands I went with Matthews a couple of very small ones and a couple of midsize.
1 photoflex silver bounce card (never have liked the gold)
and 1 translucent card that can act as a scrim.
1 norman boom (for lights)
and 1 photoflex holder for bounce cards.
I am looking for suggestions...
I have not personally used the FELLONI's and do not know their build structure.
I considered the Brute 9 LEDZ system also I have considered "thelight" 4light system they have just released in Europe http://4k-solutions.fr/product.php?id_product=10
I really really like the look of that one.
Any suggestions would be helpful
