I'm trying to put together a kit that will be used for both interviews and indoor/outdoor drama. Indoors, I doubt I'll be filming in anything larger than a living room. Also, I plan on shooting against a 10x8 greenscreen. I'm not worried about getting high powered stuff for outside at this moment, as most of my stuff is during the day and I assume I can use reflectors and diffusers.
For hard stuff, I was looking at the Cool Lights CDM 75 and 150 fresnels as I would like to have as many of my lights be natively daylight balanced and as cool a temperature as possible. Unfortunately, I don't think I can afford any HMI/CDM fresnel with any more power than the CL-MF0150 (equivalent to 650w tungsten). Would that be a serious handicap?
For soft stuff, I was looking at getting some Cool Lights flourescent 4 banks. Would a softbox or something like a Lowel Rifa be more FLEXIBLE for my shooting requirements? Would a combo be the best?
The only light I currently own is a tungsten Altman 650L fresnel, so I have plenty to buy. If I go with all daylight balanced, I'll have to drop that Altman. For flexibility, would it be wiser to stick to tungsten setups?
