Lighting for night Bedroom scene

What would be the best set up for a night bedroom scene? Should I do day for night? I'd like the room around the bed to be dark.

The way I think they do it in 'ollywood:
Blast a strong hard light (HMI, Tungsten) through the windows.
We will call it moonlight!
