Lighting Effect or Post Effect?

[Perucho]

Does anyone know how to get this type of lighting effect :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB5e0zHRzHc

Is it a filter?

[Huy Vu]

Both are possible. Those lens flare are made by shooting using an anamorphic lens, and can also be manually added in post if you're so skilled. There's a few plug in for After Effect that can do that, such as this one

It kind of looks like GenArts Sapphire/Monster plugins. They have a bunch of glint/glare/ray effects. VideoCopilot's Optical Flares can do it to, but wasn't out when that was made.

Yeah, Sapphire most likely. This is the best music video for that song.
