hi everyone im new here,im going to make a rap music video and there is going to be a night scene with cars in it,is there a simple technique to lighting the cars and the rappers.thank you

One good trick is to soak the pavement if you are shooting on pavement. It gives better results. I dont think you see very many commercials, tv shows or movies where the road isnt wet at night.

thanks thethe but the scene is going to be outside not the inside, its going to be kind of like a car show outside and i have no idea how to light

did i forget to mention its a no budget music video,ya i did.are there any books on making a music video.

Cars are mirrors and you are going to have to design your reflection. If you get a mid to lighter car color your life will be easier.

No budget, no experience.
I would light the scene with car headlights and if you need to soften them throw a sheet or 2 over the headlights.

Keep it simple, have fun and learn a lot.
