Wait, I think Richard from "Cool Lights" might read this, and add a drinking straw adapter to Flo lights....Man, what a tight honeycomb....1 degrees...?
 
Wow, thats a new one to me! Never heard of straws as a honeycomb grid. I would hate to use them on a tungsten light for sure because of heat issues.
 
I didn't say they did it as S.O.P., it was just a quick on the spot solution. I wish I could remember where I saw it.

I think "Shooting Black Folks" would be worse.

I think the term "shooting" is very fragile... I was once making a Virginia Tech video after the tragedy, and we were doing interviews with alumni, siblings of students, and other people with ties. I had to watch what I said all day because I usually say "shooting": Things like "Oh today I'm shooting some VT alumni" or going to the green room and saying things like "We'll start shooting soon".... it's a real trigger word... no pun intended. :)
 
And the funniest thread title I have ever seen, was entitled Shooting Beavers... or something like that. The guy was actually taking pictures of the furry little rodents.

Or the guy who said "I need a vibrator". He was trying to make a spinning glass lens adapter.
 
I saw the Mythbusters make a smoke wall for a wind tunnel using boxes of drinking straws they ran through a band saw
