Lighting an Address to the Nation

Every now and then you get to do some work that gets a bit more exposure than your usual stuff.

Yesterday I had to shoot an Address to the Nation by Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

He was supposedly speaking from his office, but as he was busy, we had to set up in the room outside the office and make it look "office-like"

The cool thing is that this was broadcast by every Australian network, giving my PTC a larger viewing audience than most Australian movies :)

LOL! I LOVE it! Isn't it funny how we get to make VIPs look awesome in these little cubbyhole spots? I know there is a great love of narrative and moviemaking here, but I really get a kick out of doing these kinds of things.
 
Yup,

I went to some actor's house here in VA when he decided he wanted to run for President last year. We shot his announcement in his study:
