lighting a whiteboard

Any thoughts on lighting someone standing in front of, and writing scientific formulas on a whiteboard? Seems like reflections and overexposure are the main problems I have to consider.

I've tried this. The closest thing I came to success (but not completely) was using 1 diffused lightsource a little on one side, and angling the camera to avoid the glare. If you have a large enough source, you should avoid major shadows as well as the majority of the glare. The downside is that you don't get much modeling on the subject. But in my case, you hardly saw the guy, just the board.

My biggest concern is that if I expose for the guy, I'll overexpose the board (or vice versa for underexposure).
