Lighting a music video

Hey guys,

Shooting a music video in a couple of weeks and wanted to get everyone's opinion on lighting. We have 3 locations. Outside walking downtown, a news studio and then an auditorium where the full band will be playing. Obviously, the news studio lighting is very straight forward. Looking to go very flat with a basic 3 point setup. The auditorium and outside are really what im pulling my hair out about. Outside, the band is simply going to be walking down the road and I'll be following with camera shouldermounted. I'm thinking for the outside stuff I'll have a couple PA's following everyone with a bounce panel and one with a flag over me and the camera to prevent flares. What do you think?

As far as the auditorium group band/live shots what does everyone recommend? I've got a various assortment of Tungsten lights and with a few softboxes. Was thinking of renting 2 4-bank kinos and placing in font of the band horizontally facing back at them. Going to be shooting this scene with a dolly and then shoulder mount. Any tips/suggestions? Trying to keep this as low-budget as possible while still remaining awesome.

Jon
