Lighting a club scene (for a music video)

I am DPing a hip hop music video coming up soon, and it will take place in a club. Does anyone have any tips and/or advice for lighting a club scene? Has anyone shot a club scene before?

This question has been asked several times in the past, and of course, every venue is different, but it might help. Good Luck.
 
This all depends on the style of the director and or DP. Allot of people do bar scenes with random red or green lights as accents on walls or on faces. I personally dont like this unless it is motivated. If you have a neon sign in a shot then work with that. Say its green. Take a 150w fresnel and put a full or double CTG on it and play around. Do this with all of the other multi colored lights in the area. Just try not to get to bright or random.
