For a 20X20 you are going to need alot more light or shoot outside. For something like that I use 3 6K space lights or two 10k's bounced at a 45 degree angle. I suppose 5k's might work. You might also consider Mole Sky Pans.

Of course, none of this is a budget solution. Possibly some Home Depot 4 foot florescents with good daylight tubes. The problem is rigging them so they light the center of a 20X20 as equal as the sides. Florescent light falls off very fast.

If I had to go the home depot route for this one gig, about how many "Home Depot 4 foot florescents with good daylight tubes" of those would I need?

I would prefer to do it the right way but it doesn't hurt to know. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to plan to shoot half outdoors just in case the indoor footage isn't properly lit and usable.

One 6k space light is more than enough to light a 20x20 chroma screen. Then you need to front light your talent and add a little back light to taste.
