Hi,
To not waste time with too much or too little information, two versions below- I'd really appreciate the help!
Basic Question Version: Can I take a Gitzo carbon fiber still tripod, add a 75mm adapter and add a 75mm ball adapter to use with Sachtler FSB8 head and HPX170 with no accessories?

Fully Explained Version: I use an HPX-170 and have a Sachtler FSB8 system- I love it, but I'd always planned to get other legs, something really light and travel friendly (for run and gun around new york mostly), but on looking at weight, Miller Solo carbon fiber arent really much lighter- Maybe it's just the bulk of the extensions and spreader that gets me, but I don't like taking it out unless I absolutely need it. So I'd love to have something to throw onto the bag, also it would be nice to have this for my GH1, and it's only 2.5 lbs- If there's something I'm not seeing please let me know, because this looks like a great solution, can still use proper setup for studio style setups, but just for event/ quick shoots this could be good....
