Light wideangles

After having worked with the brevis35 with a sigma 28mm f1.8 and a 24-70mm zoom I found shooting hand held to be a bit heavy. Additionally to my Xh-A1 I now have a Hv20 so I'm looking into a small and light wide angle that doesn't have vigneting problems. Any suggestions?

Correct me if I'm wrong...but isn't a 28mm prime pretty small? I have a nikon 28mm f2.8 and that's like half the size of my 50mm - Or is the f1.8 alot larger?

The sigma 28mm f1.8 is a massive piece of glass, contrary to regular 28mm. Since I have never used another 28mm with the brevis I'd like to ask around first to see if there's any vingeting issues with a slower (regular) wide angle (24mm/28mm f2.8) or if there's a particular winde angle I should be looking for.

Well, like i just mentioned my 28mm f2.8 is a really small lens, however it does tend to vignette a touch. I normally zoom in slightly more on my DVX in order to get rid of it. As a result it's more like a 30? mm lens. not quite 35mm, but tighter than a true 28mm

Do you know the exact brand/model of 28mm lens? If what you're saying is acurate than I should go with a 20mm or a 24mm so that I might come close to what should be a 28mm.

BTW, I forgot to mention I have a Nikon E 28mm 1: 2.8 AI-s and it vingetts like crazy with the brevis (even with the latest gg and the achromat). I've read that the AI non E models are better then the AIS E models concerning this issue. Can anyone confirm?

I have a sigma 24mm f2 and it's small compared to all the other pieces I have, including the nikon 28mm. The 28mm is non-AI and no vignette at all with the CF1L.
