Light Stand and Dual Light Mount question

I'm wanting to mount 2 Comer lights on a stand for weddng reception. Do you guys think this setup will work?

It probably would but I don't like the look of that dual adapter, it looks like cheap plastic to me so if the lights are heavy it might flex and fall. If the light have a 5/8'' mount then this is more stable
