Light pollution

Ok just a short rant:
LEDs are way cool, but since it seems easy to add one here and there, my flat is getting brighter and brighter: kitchen stuff, hifi, video/dvd, desktops and laptops - they all blink and glow away like it´s x-mas time already!
Most annoying though for me are external HDDs, cause they blink analog to their use, so when rendering something overnight, my flat looks like the site of a car accident:evil:
I mean, can´t they make those things with like only 20% of the intensity?
My one eSATA enclosure has a switch but only for one(!) of the two LEDs, smart move...
Hell, I just like it dark when I sleep...

...electrical tape.

Yup. Use it to tape over anything electrical that's pissing you off.

Well I took gaffers tape last night, adding one more use for it to my long list :thumbsup:
(if I had to go inside of the "light polluter" I will use your advice and take electrical tape though, thanks!)
