Light ON/OFF Button on the 503HDV

I recently bought a 503hdv here on the forums and I have a question regarding the Light On/Off button that is located beside the level.

What does it do? How do I use it?

Any help is appreciated..
 
It lights the level up so you can see it especially in dark conditions. You have to remove a piece first for the battery to contact then it will work.
 
If it's like my Vinten Vision 8... tilt the camera platform all the way forward. It should reveal a compartment for the battery with a removal cover.

I just found it, I needed to take the head off and there were two tabs I pushed in and the whole button unit popped off. I looked inside and there was a watch battery in there. I guess I just need to replace that..
 
UPDATE, I removed the battery and it turned out there was just a little piece of paper that was stopping it from turning it on, just removed that and now it works like a charm.
