Light kit

Hi everyone,
New to the forum.
I'm going to be doing small shooting, most of it interviews.
I'm looking to get at least a 250wts flood light that I can accomodate to all my locations.
I don't know the type of locations I'm going to find, probably offices and some mixed interior.
Is there a cheap kit with at least one flood light around ?
and no, my budget doesn't allow me to get an arri or lowel kit

Regards

Personally I would suggest trying to do interviews with flood lights. When I first started I did interviews using flood lights and I made it work and no one was the wiser but there are very hard to control. I would suggest buying one of the kits that PMG has left for sell in the Market Place. I bought my lowels from him at a good price and it has boosted my production value up so much. I would either get his basic kit or the Run and Gun kit

At 250W you are in luck, and you CAN get a Lowel light.
Check out a Lowel Pro light with a uni-to stand. This is an EXCELLENT combo, and you can replace lamps/bulbs as desired. Oh, and it's focusable as well.
This will give you a good starting place for a nice kit.

1 stand and 1 light = $170 (you may want some scrims/diffusion too)

I absolutely LOVE the Lowel Pro Light. Great, easy light to work with - I now have 4 of them, but what I like the most is using them with a Westcott Mini Apollo softbox. It's a 16x16 softbox that sets up and attaches like an umbrella (it's not one of those enclosed umbrella things, it's actually a softbox, but it doesnt use a speed ring, it uses umbrella mount). Anyway. Get 4 Lowel Pros, and 4 Mini Apollos, and use two for each subject. One as main light and the other as hairlight and feather it back. Use available room light as fill.

I'm a still photographer and use these with strobes and only recently thought of using them with the Lowel Pros (the Pro is small enough to fit, keep the bulb away from the box and also low enough power to not burn the box down).

Note: I just noticed on that page, under accessories, it lists a clamp and says "this item is required". I have never seen that before and it is in no way required. Maybe it's a for a shoe mount strobe. Either way, disregard it.
