Light Blurring Effect

I have footage of a pumpkin I carved the other day and I zoomed in and out really fast so when I got the footage in post I could speed up the footage and add a light streak/blur effect to the glowing pumpkin.

What I'm going for reminds me of shots when people use long exposure to make light trails, really common with night freeway shots where the car lights just look like a blur of light due to long exposure.
 
There's a few ways to do this. I would recommend messing aorund with the echo effect and motion blur of the layer and the composition.

Another way is to go into the advanced properties of the composition and changing the shutter angle.
