Life Aquatic

I'm a die-hard Wes fan and loved the movie-- much better on the second viewing (same with Tenenbaums, for me). Murray makes the movie, just like Hackman really made the Tenenbaums (although Huston and Glover are awesome, as usual). Murray has perfected the beaten-down middle aged man.

As with the other Wes Anderson films, diverse, interesting soundtrack.

I've only seen it once, and I wasn't crazy about it. The cinematography was amazing, and the soundtrack was as good as any other Wes Anderson flick.

For the record, I love Rushmore and The Royal Tennenbaums, and much of the dialogue in Bottle Rocket cracks me up.

I should probably give The Life Aquatic a second chance. Maybe I'll like it better with lowered expectations.

You should always watch a movie twice before passing judgment. okay.. Well not always.. haha.. wes is a very precise director.
