Libec ZC-3DV

I bought one 3 months ago and it works great. I looked at the other controllers and tried them, actually at B&H. For 130 bucks it doesent have all the features the other ones have. But the zoom throttle wasn't to tight or to loose like the the others, just right. To hit record, zoom in and out at the ramping speeds that the cameras are capable of, its way definitely worth the price. Its made of what looks like plastic, and the clamp that holds it to the tripod arm uses only one screw not 2. But after using for 3 months its stronger than it looked at first, the clamps holds it firm, and being able to switch it to LANC control for other cameras was a big plus.
 
I would recomend it. Its a simple zoom controller, feels as good if not better than some of the other ones, and is 100 and something dollars cheaper. It was way better than I thought it would be at that price. The only complaint I have is the cable they provide that connects between the controller and the camera could have been a little longer. But that could always be extended with a cheap cable anyway.
