Libec or Manfrotto?

I have the Manfrotto 701 rc2 head AND a libec (t-57 legs with an H35 head). I don't know which Libec you are looking at but I really like my libec. But in general, you can't go wrong with a Manfrotto...except with the 701 rc2 head. The quick release plate is tiny and the bolt that tightens and loosens the plate is in a weird spot. At times, it makes it difficult to get the camera off the tripod. In fact, I went to B&Hs website to investigate this head further and the site said that it was discontinued. So, I would not suggest you get the 701 rc2 head. You might however like the 501 or 503 head.

I've never used the 701rc2, but I can say that I really like my 503.
