Has anyone ever used this tripod? Any feedback?

I've heard only good things about it and read a professional review saying it easily trumps the 501HDV setup. I was hoping I could get some more personal feedback here.

Hi

I'm not sure what cam you intend to use with the Libec 38, I use it for my HPX302.

I upgraded from a Manfrotto 055CLB and 501 head to the Libec.

The Libec is infinitely better than the Manfrotto, but I never expected to use the 302 with the Manfrotto.

Having siad that the 302 will sit on the Manfrotto, but as for pans etc forget it, the Manfrotto was never mean't to support such a heavier cam.

I bought the floor spreader model and have been regretting it ever since. I'm now in the process of of buying the Mid Spreader kit and hope to enhance my ability in the field rather than the nice flat floors one gets in a studio environment.

If your on a budget, this is the tripod for you. I still can't come up with several thousands of dollars to support my camera.
