I have a LEX with an 82mm thread for the HVX. It has the EX 1 optimization achromat that works great with an HVX. I have a job starting this Thursday that's an EX 1 gig. I've got a few questions:
1) Can I use an 82mm-77mm step down ring to adapt to the EX 1 ?
2) Will the slight increase in distance with the step down adversely effect the optics? It would incur a very slight zoom. Would that improve edge to edge?
3) Or do I have to have Letus overnight me their 77mm adaptor?
I'd much rather go the 82mm-77mm step down route as it costs 17.00 from B&H. Anyone have to do this?
