LEX causing vibration in my image

I went out to shoot today with a new lens I got in. I was doing simple rack focuses when I noticed that far away objects never seemed to be in focus. I turned on the magnification on my XH-A1 and everything seemed to be blurry because of the LEX's vibrating GG.

I checked all the screws and joints. Everything was tight, from the LEX/A1 connection to the rods and support.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this - how did you fix it? Could it be that something came loose internally?

I'm on my way out the door - I'll post some grabs and footage later tonight.

What I was shooting today:
XH-A1 (image stabilizer OFF)
Letus Extreme
Cavision rods/hardware
Nikon AI 28mm f/2.8
Nikon AI 50mm f/1.4 (vibration showed up on both lenses)
Bogen 501 head on 3021 legs (I know, an upgrade is due soon!)

Yes. When I turned the GG off, the subject appeared in perfect focus (obviously the grain was apparent). When I turned the GG on, the subject would vibrate up and down. I'll get some examples posted soon.

I don't recognize your problems.
It must be something wrong with your Lex.
Or maybe the IS was on?

DEFINITELY something seems off there.
I doubt its a battery issue - as a slower vibration would only make the grain apparent, it should not move the image at all, or increase any vibration.

I could contact Letus and forward those samples to them - this definitely doesn't seem normal, at least not from the footage I've seen or from the LEX that I used recently.

I have experienced this phenomenon and eventually I isolated it to my rails system. On the Cavision rails I use, there are two options for mounting to the tripod; one that's nearer the LEX and one that's closer to the bottom of the camera. I found that if I mounted the rails where it's closer to the LEX, this kind of vibrating occurs. Basically, you should try to reposition the tripod mount away from the adapter.

I don't know if that makes sense or not but it worked for me.

This is a problem with the oscillation frequency that you're seeing when solidly mounted. It will seem to disappear when the rig is loosely mounted. You need to contact the Letus boys direcly for a fix.

This is the first time I've had this problem (granted I haven't been able to shoot much with the adapter). Would I benefit from loosening the threads of the adapter? Or is this an internal issue?

Ok ok I dont know how much help I can be here, But ever since I reconfigured my Lex, and taking it On the run (ie shoulder or spiderbrace), I am having a strange issue. This is more like I can see the GG sliding around, not so much viabrating. I eliminated the viabrating footage error but stripping the entire setup down and reconnecting everything tightly and secure.

Any Ideas?

weak batteries? You shouldn't be able to see the vibration, if any, it will resemble noise.
